God is Good!

Do you every have those moments where you are in total awe at how God orcastates His plan? How weak and lame we are to be so surprised and amazed at the work of our Lord. We are talking about the God of the universe!! ~~~ and somehow I am always so blown away at things that are just apart of His character.

The Lord placed a sweet family into our path yesterday that was a total gift. God knew what I needed at the perfect time. I totally believe that God puts people in our path so that Christ and everything He is about because even more real to us. That is what happened to our family yesterday. I look forward to sharing the story of this family with you in the near future, but for now ~ Can you look back in your life and see how God appointed meetings with people that were the most amazing blessing and could have only come together by the hand of the Lord? Isn't our God so Good that He knows our every need. He looks at us as His perfect children. Hard to imagine when we fail to love Him like we should every moment.

Today is a day of praising Him for His goodness in everything! O Praise Him!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful Christmas that was so full of joy. It wa super busy and we ate way too much. We started with my sister and her family, mom and dad, and my brother Mitchell coming over on Christmas Eve. Pap read the Christmas story for the kids(and for the adults) and then we opened presents. The kids had a blast. We went to the Christmas Eve service together and came home and played games. We woke up Christmas morning and enjoyed what Santa brought and then sat around and played for the whole day. I was kinda dissappointed that it was going to be just our family Christmas Day. I am so use to having a day full of family together, but it was so much fun. We enjoyed our kids so much and realized how we need to take more time to just be still and play with our kids. It was great. I was so reminded of how the Lord has so blessed. I am so thankful for his mercy on our lives. I pray on a daily basis that my kids will one day truly understand what being blessed means. I hope you enjoy some pictures from our Christmas.

This was my Christmas present from my whole family and Joel's whole family. I was shocked!! I love it.

Have a Happy New Year!!

Thanksgiving started great and ended.......

Oh my goodness - I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted. Honestly- time has just flown by since halloween. I look at all of you blogs on a daily basis and forget to even update mine. I am going to have to do a little back tracking.

Our thanksgiving started out great. We drove to Midland on Wednesday. We get together with two friends and their families that my mom went to high school with. We have been getting together with them for Thanksgiving for almost 12 years. We always have a blast. The kids love it because they have buddies that they play with. We ate way tooo much and laughed hysterically over things no one else would think was funny. :) On Thanksgiving Day evening Ben started feeling sick and woke up early Friday morning with the stomach bug. I felt so bad for the little guy. THEN- after breakfast on Friday another little boy, Colton, gets the stomach bug. THEN- my mom starts feeling sick. THEN Joel got sick. We started home this morning and as soon as we drove into the driveway Bo got sick. Brady and I are the only ones that have not gotten it. Another family called this afternoon on their way home and said two of them were sick. It actually started to get comical after a while. What do you do? I am hoping we are all on the mend and tomorrow will be a better day. Here are a few pictures before the storm hit. I will do some catching up on what has gone on the last few weeks soon. I hope you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for(even with the stomach bug)!!
